What age did you start buying skin care products? For me, I bought my first “face mask” around 3rd grade, just so I could be like my older sister. I used to think skin care was only face masks, eye masks, etc. But, skin care is cleanser, moisturizer, any type of mask, lotion, scrubs, eye cream, and much more. The best skincare products are sometimes hard to find, which is why I made this blog post for you.
But why should you trust me to tell you which skincare products are the best for teens and tweens? This is my disclaimer- all skin is different so just because these products have worked for me, my family, and my readers does not mean they will work for your or your teenagers skin.
I asked the Only Anna Bray readers and followers which skincare products they would recommend for every teen. They had a variety of responses, and I have heard a lot of good reviews about each of the products.
Here are the best skin care products according to lots and lots of teens.

CLEANSER
I have been using cetaphil every night since the 4th grade! This is by far my favorite cleanser because it also takes my makeup off. You can buy this at most drug stores (CVS, Walgreens), Kroger, Target, Meijer, Ulta, Amazon- basically everywhere. It is around $15 at most stores, and it also comes in a travel size! This is the exact product my dermatologist recommends.
I have never used Cerave, but I have had SO many people say that this is the best cleanser out there. You can find Cerave at all the places you find Cetaphil, listed above. I recently did a poll on my Instagram (onlyannabray) and 69% of people who answered said they use Cerave, compared to the 31% that use Cetaphil. Which one do you use? Tell me in the comments!
MAKEUP REMOVER
This is the makeup remover I use! It works for me, but my sister doesn’t use it because she says it doesn’t work for her skin… so I would definitely say this product only works with certain skin types. My skin type is normal to dry. I put this makeup remover on a cotton pad, and it takes about 95% of my makeup off. To get the rest off, I use Cetaphil!
NEUTROGENA OIL-FREE EYE MAKEUP REMOVER:
This is by farrrrr the most popular makeup remover I know of. It has 4.5 star reviews on Ulta, and an Only Anna Bray reader recommended it! I used to use this makeup remover, but then switched to Garnier because I thought this one felt a little oily (even though it says oil free, haha).
TONER
Witch Hazel Toner is the PERFECT starter toner for teens. In fact, I still use it. I use it about 3x a week, and it is a toner to get all the little bumps away. Witch Hazel has gotten a lot of mixed reviews in the last few years, so I did some research! The old version of Witch Hazel got negative reviews because it had ethanol alcohol, which dries out your skin/causes you to break out. The new formula is alcohol free, and is really popular.
Pixi Glow Tonic Toner is very similar to Witch Hazel Toner, but a little more expensive. I originally got a sample of this product a few years ago, and I would definitely say it runs out fast in both the sample and the 3.4 ounce. However, this is worth the buy because it works really well! It is around $18 on most sites, and you can find this at your local Target and Walmart.
EYE CREAM
Caffeine Eye Cream – The INKEY List | Sephora
I LOVE THIS EYE CREAM!! I don’t know if you can tell from any of my pictures, but I have extreme eye bags. This literally is amazing!! I 100% recommend this product for anyone at any age. Use this twice a day (morning/night) for at least two weeks, and you will see results.
MOISTURIZER
Pond’s Cold Cream Moisturizer is the best 1st moisturizer for any teen. It’s simple, and gets the job done. I also use Pond’s makeup remover, and I also love this!! You can buy these both at your local drugstore, and of course Amazon because it is so popular. Pond’s is VERY budget friendly- especially at Walmart and Amazon because you can buy this moisturizer in packs of three.
This is very similar to Pond’s Cold Cream Moisturizer, and can be found at almost every beauty section in a store. It is about $20, and Pond’s Moisturizer is about $10. Only Anna Bray reader’s HIGHLY recommended this product.
An Only Anna Bray reader recommended this, so I did some research! It is a tad expensive ($48), but the reviews from multiple stores are fantastic. For example, one review claims it is amazing for dry skin. But, another review says it sort of has an old lady smell, haha.
Cetaphil Moisturizer is another amazing starter moisturizer for teens, and is a product to buy when you are on a budget. It is about $15, and you can buy it on Amazon, Ulta, Target, etc. A review I found from Ulta said that this is best for dry skin, and it doesn’t cause any rashes.
FACE MASKS AND SERUMS
This product went TIK TOK FAMOUS. There are so many videos of people’s skin transformation before and after and WOW they are amazing. An Only Anna Bray reader also recommended this product, and all of the other The Ordinary products. This is a product that is definitely recognized as one of the best skincare products. The Ordinary is sort of hard to find, but is really inexpensive and can be found on Amazon. It is at Ulta, but for some reason every time I go it magically disappears and isn’t there (??) . It is only $7, so I recommend at least trying this out.
Yes to Tomatoes Grapefruit Paper Sheet Face Mask is worth the buy. It is a brightening mask, and does NOT cause you to break out. It is only $4 at most stores. People who reviewed the product say that it is gentle, smells great, and nourishing, and I can agree with all of these reviews because this is truly an amazing product!!
